Originally sketched in 2024, Guardian has evolved over the past two years as layers of paint were added, gradually revealing a story I could not yet fully see. It wasn’t until “Masked Muse” was underway that the deeper meaning of this piece began to speak to me.
Guardian explores the role of our shadows, not as something to fear, but as protectors. Our shadows can hold wisdom, strength, and truth when we learn to see them clearly. The painting is reminder that our shadows can become guardians rather than burdens.
